Emma Chapman Jewellery
Emma Chapman is an award winning jewellery designer who came to us for a brand new website via a client recommendation. Emma was i need of a complete overhaul of her eCommerce shopping cart system that was developed in a sub standard manor by an offshore budget development company, which in the end cost Emma dearly in terms of search engine rankings which fell to an all time low shortly after her last website launched. Picking up the pieces and advising Emma on a way forward was not hard, we suggested a new mobile and tablet friendly website built on Magento eCommerce platform with better page structure and keyword rich content via an integrated WordPress. We also gave the new website a totally new look in terms of the design which has been received well by Emma’s audience.
Since content is definitely king in the eyes of Google, its imperative that good and regularly posted content is added to any website looking to build a reputation score. The content that you insert into your website should be informative for the viewers, engaging in terms of imagery and layout and be relative to the industry in question as well as containing keywords that surround your industry.
SEO ‘Ready’ Developments
So adding articles such as “Jewellery care” and information about “Gemstones” can be a great way to entice the search engines to notice you and hopefully go on to making your site an authority site on whatever industry, products or services you provide. Selling to your audience and traffic coming to your website will eventually be organic and will not require masses of money spent on the likes of Google pay per clicks, SEO activities and any other expensive marketing programme.
The aim is to be honest with your content and not try to deceive Google in any way as this can have serious repercussions in terms of your rank, don’t try and scam Google, they will always come up on top. Just be honest and feed content into your website in a realistic and organic manner and you will succeed.
